Why Text Pastes Only With ⌘V and How to Fix It

Why this happens

The Mac App Store version of Spokenly can't paste text automatically. App Store rules don't allow it to use Accessibility, which automatic pasting relies on. This applies to every dictation app in the Mac App Store.

In this version, your shortcut starts dictation, and pressing ⌘V in the app where you want the text stops it and pastes the text.

How to fix it

To stop dictation and paste with the same shortcut, as before, download Spokenly from the website.

Move your subscription

If you have an active subscription, sign in with your email in the Mac App Store version before you switch. This links your subscription to your email. After you download Spokenly from the website, sign in there with the same email, and your subscription will be activated.
