Quick Send
Dictate a message and have it sent automatically. Spokenly inserts the transcript and presses Return for you.
Quick Send turns dictation straight into a sent message. Press the Return key (or swipe right on the trackpad) while recording: Spokenly stops the recording, inserts the transcript at the cursor, and then simulates a Return key press, so the message goes out as if you hit Enter yourself. In Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, or an AI chat, one keystroke replaces stopping the recording, waiting for the text, and sending it manually.
Quick Send is especially recommended with coding agents like Claude Code and Codex. Prompts are dispatched the moment you finish talking, so you iterate faster.
To enable it, open Settings > General and switch on Quick send (Return key or swipe).
Which gesture applies
It depends on the shortcut that started the recording. The Recording Shortcut in Settings > General (and each mode's own shortcut) can be set to keyboard keys, a mouse button, or a trackpad gesture.

The Return key works for any recording. The swipe is armed only when the recording was started with a trackpad gesture: your fingers are already on the trackpad, so sending is one motion away.
Return key
While a recording is active, press Return to finish it. Spokenly captures the key press, stops the recording, inserts the transcript, and then sends its own Return to the app, submitting the message with the freshly dictated text.
Spokenly captures the Return key only while you are recording. Outside of a recording the key behaves as usual. If you switch to a different app before the transcript arrives, the simulated Return is skipped so it can't trigger anything in the wrong window.
Trackpad swipe
After starting a recording with a trackpad gesture, swipe right on the trackpad to send it. The transcript is inserted and Return is pressed for you, exactly like the Return key. The overlay shows a fill animation as you swipe; once the fill reaches the end, the recording is sent. If you stop short, nothing is sent and the recording continues.
While the send swipe is in progress, Spokenly suppresses the system workspace swipe, so you won't accidentally switch desktops.
